I loved how much freedom Khai Soon & Mariel let me have with their session. When I asked them about elements they’d like to incorporate into their shoot, they simply expressed their love for nature and Mariel’s fondness of traditional shophouses because of her Peranakan upbringing.
One thing they did mention was how they plan their dates along the North East MRT line for convenience,
and I really wanted to try to capture this.
This is my favourite image from our attempts because of
the unexpected faces of the other commuters on the train.
